Walmart says AI training lifts associates' confidence with the technology
AIWalmart surveyed its 2.1 million associates in June and received more than 1.7 million responses about AI, Chief People Officer Maren Waggoner told CNBC. Waggoner said 84% of U.S. frontline associates say they are confident using digital tools, and associates who took OpenAI training reported a 27% confidence gain using AI. Walmart has partnered with Google and OpenAI on no-cost AI certification programs for associates over the past 13 months.
