Meta launches Muse Spark Open, an 816B-parameter open-weight model for Macs

Meta has released Muse Spark Open, an open-weight model with 816 billion parameters and a 1 million token context window.

Meta says it outperforms other popular open-weight models on its evaluations and is natively multimodal, built for coding and agentic tasks. Running it locally requires at least 1 terabyte of RAM, and Meta says the Mac Studio with the M5 Ultra chip works best.

The model is available now through several API platforms.
