Retailers block AI shopping agents, and the agents often fail when access is allowed
AIAmazon has sued Perplexity and blocked Meta's Muse agent from shopping on its site, while JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon says the bank won't let outside agents access accounts. Even where access is allowed, The Verge found Muse was intermittently blocked by Target's bot check and suggested listings from a grocery chain that doesn't ship to the reporter's address.
