NIO's Li Bin says unit prices now exceed Audi by 180,000 yuan

NIO founder Li Bin says the brand's average transaction price reached 406,000 yuan in Q2 2026 and 434,600 yuan in July, about 180,000 yuan above Audi, 70,000–80,000 yuan above BMW, and several tens of thousands above Mercedes-Benz. He says per-vehicle costs rose 14,000 yuan in Q2 and could rise another 2,000–3,000 yuan in the second half, with no room to negotiate.
