He says Silicon Valley's memetic bubble is preventing serious engagement with this issue.

AIEvan Cheng, CEO of Mysten Labs, presented the Sui Agent Pass at Sui Basecamp in Singapore as a way to bound AI agent authority over money. Users would define allowed actions, assets, recipients, and permission duration, with the system itself enforcing those limits so that losses stop at a predefined cap even if an agent is compromised. The article argues that the real challenge is making such limits impossible to bypass when failures occur.

AIIn a podcast, former ByteDance engineer Guo Yu says that in 2015 he first saw a company whose products were driven by neural networks that even engineers could not fully explain. He also argues that after AI took over coding, one person now carries the decision load of an entire former team, which has driven him to burnout.

AIAndrew Curran asks people not to mock mathematicians struggling through the current moment, arguing that everyone will eventually face a similar disruption in their own field. He suggests those who now mock them will later regret their words.

AISeema Shah, Chief Global Strategist at Principal Global Investors, discusses the AI capex cycle and its impact on investor sentiment. She spoke with Avril Hong on the sidelines of the Milken Institute Asia Summit in Singapore.

AIPeter Thiel, Palantir and Founders Fund co-founder, argued in $100-per-ticket Nashville lectures that government attempts to regulate AI are evil, according to recordings obtained by Politico. He attacked former President Barack Obama and Pope Leo XIV over AI, and criticized effective altruism as a belief system that could form a one-world government to stop AI progress. The article notes Thiel's wealth is heavily invested in AI, including a $418 million AI-focused portfolio at Thiel Macro LLC.

AIAI systems are now solving math problems faster than humans can verify the answers, according to the source's headline. The source text is limited to a brief note that OpenAI's math breakthroughs may trigger an identity crisis for mathematicians.

AIMiles Brundage calls a question from Jordan Schneider about what individuals can do to help pass the MATCH Act a very good question. The post itself gives no further details on the bill or proposed actions.

AIOpenAI published 719 AI-generated math proofs covering 372 result families, after withdrawing 3 for a symbol error. Reports say the release falls short of the AGMAI advisory group's standards, since it uses proprietary models, includes reasoning chains for only 10 manuscripts, and leaves about 42% unformalized. Terence Tao argues that rapidly solving famous problems harms the mathematical community's understanding and collaboration.

AIJeremy Howard says Jasmine Wang accessed an executive's email that OpenAI had given her access to, despite her request that the access be removed and IT's failure to remove it. He implies she was fired because of that IT failure, not misconduct on her part.

AIBloomberg Intelligence's Mandeep Singh says booming token growth indicates solid AI infrastructure demand, despite questions over OpenAI's revenue accounting. The source provides no further figures on token volumes or revenue.

AITessl's blog post argues that teams should record agent mistakes as attributed, signed diary entries, then curate them into reusable context packs rather than adding unverified rules to files like AGENTS.md. The author describes a REST API case where an agent regenerated the OpenAPI spec and TypeScript client but missed the Go client, and the same lesson had to be re-taught in a fresh session.

AIAI DevCon New York, running November 2–4 at Industry City in Brooklyn, centers its program on software factories, the systems needed to make agentic development repeatable, trustworthy and scalable. The article argues that moving from one developer using an agent to an engineering organization requires layers covering context and skills, harnesses and tools, orchestration, verification and evaluation, and feedback.

AIThe article explains how a software factory combines agents, tools, and engineering practices to take work from intent to verified output. It argues that teams should enforce domain rules, workflow gates, and tool permissions independently, version shared guidance and checks, and review lessons before reuse.

AIGeoffrey Hinton proposed that AI companies must prove their products are safe to regulators before release, comparing the requirement to the FDA's drug approval process. He said such a requirement should apply to AI, noting that drug approval can cost around $1 billion, and warned that AI self-improvement is accelerating.

AIZhang Lei, then a recent PhD graduate working mainly on image retrieval, beat a team led by face recognition expert Li Ziqing in a 2002 Microsoft Research Asia contest to build a face detection system. He cut the false-positive rate from roughly 50% to 1%, and the algorithm was integrated into Windows. Several members of his team later became prominent figures in China's technology industry.

AIBenewake CEO Li Yuan says lidar could serve as a learning source for robot models, not just an obstacle-avoidance tool. The company shipped 250,000 robot lidar units in the first half of this year, and robotics now accounts for over half of its revenue.

AIOpenAI began rolling out GPT-6 to free and Go ChatGPT users on October 8, replacing GPT-5.6 Luna with GPT-6 Luna, while paid users receive GPT-6 Sol. The update adds Intelligent UI, which generates charts, buttons, and interactive tools inside chat answers. OpenAI's safety report shows gains on jailbreak and instruction-hierarchy tests but also regressions in some self-harm, sexual, and emotional-dependence evaluations, including for under-18 users.

AIA Chinese podcast transcript argues that Opus 5.5 makes code generation, game modding, and language migration much faster and cheaper. It cites examples such as game remakes, Photoshop clones, and ESP32 firmware projects, and says legal and open-source barriers are struggling to keep pace.

AIInfor is building industry-specific AI agents on its Infor OS foundation and open architecture, according to CEO Kevin Samuelson. Infor says two in three businesses find off-the-shelf AI does not adequately address their industry's needs. The company pairs customers with forward-deployed engineers, and Samuelson says prototypes can now take one to three weeks.

AIInfor is developing industry-specific AI agents for industrial manufacturing, aerospace and defense, automotive, and food and beverage, built on its existing industry applications. Suresh Jayaraman, Infor's senior vice president of product management and development, said generic agents often fail to give deterministic answers and produce hallucinations. Infor's 2026.10 release adds guardrails through security and scopes, while agents still need human approval to move orders between customers.

AIContact center success is shifting from call speed and deflection toward resolution, with experts arguing that AI agents should be measured by "conversation to completion." Speakers at theCUBE's coverage said AI can handle high-volume, low-stakes calls while humans take complex issues, and that context must carry across AI-to-human handoffs.

AIMidwest Wheel Companies is building toward AI agents that fix problems, with senior vice president Steve McEnany saying the company ties new capabilities to a single Infor system as a point of reference. The company's AI features include a product recommender in order entry and automation that scans emailed PDF invoices into the system. McEnany said a human should stay in the loop for anything touching cash or accounts, and that data and rules must be checked before agents act.

AIAston Martin CIO Steve O'Connor says the carmaker applies AI to back-end operations, such as configure-price-quote, and screens each idea first for profit-and-loss impact and efficiency gains. He said AI agents will never appear on the front end of its website because customers do not want that experience. Infor's CloudSuite Automotive tool delivers new features almost as soon as they are released, according to O'Connor.
