OpenAI reports its agents found novel Linux exploitation techniques

AIOpenAI says it is working with Linux maintainers and Patch the Planet partners on vulnerability reports and patches. The stated goal is to help defenders find and fix flaws before attackers can use them.

AIOpenAI says its agents discovered and used at least 10 Linux exploitation techniques that it and the experts it consulted believe are novel. OpenAI suggests frontier LLMs can discover and patch new approaches to exploitation, not just apply known techniques.
