Google's Gemini 4 Argon ranks first on Vals Index, per OpenRouter

OpenRouter reports that Google's Gemini 4 Argon ranks first on the Vals Index across finance, legal, coding and tax, and sets a new high on DeepSWE v1.1, a benchmark for real-world software engineering.

Google Cloud says the model, its new frontier model, is now available to everyone and is built for long, multi-step work.

The benchmark results are OpenRouter's claims, relayed in an X post. The report does not include the scores or the rival models they were compared against.
