Microsoft forms Xbox Labs to explore AI-driven game decompilation and porting

AIXbox CEO Asha Sharma says Microsoft is forming Xbox Labs, a small group of game makers, engineers and scientists that will turn emerging ideas into experiences for players and developers. The group will examine recent decompilation and recompilation projects, including Windows PC builds translated to run on Apple Silicon and games ported to browsers through WebAssembly and WebGPU. Sharma says Xbox will share the tools and learnings it builds with developers across the industry.
