Anthropic hides full names of engineers on its engineering blogs

Anthropic has started hiding the full names of engineers on its engineering blogs, according to Gergely Orosz, who posted about the change on X on October 15, 2026.

Orosz says he has never seen this practice in tech before and calls it unusual.

Orosz says he understands the move in light of the OpenAI espionage story, but finds it strange nonetheless. The report does not describe how the names are shown instead or give Anthropic's own explanation.
