Anthropic licenses Opaque Systems' confidential computing tech and hires its engineers

Anthropic is licensing technology from Opaque Systems, a confidential-computing startup, and hiring some of its engineers, including CEO Aaron Fulkerson and CTO Rishabh Poddar, according to a post by Rohan Paul on X. Opaque's platform runs AI jobs inside hardware-sealed environments and produces cryptographic evidence of which code ran on which data.

Neither company has said whether Opaque will keep serving its existing customers, which include ServiceNow and Accenture.
