MetaCircle raises hundreds of millions of yuan in two funding rounds

MetaCircle, a four-month-old company founded by Tsinghua assistant professor Liu Ziming, has raised hundreds of millions of yuan across two consecutive rounds, according to Leiphone (雷峰网).

Shunwei Capital led the seed round. The company says the funds will go to iterating its core meta model algorithms, exploring staged products, expanding its team, and continuing to publish its own benchmarks.

MetaCircle says its meta model directly generates model architectures and training hyperparameters. It plans to release a general meta model 1.0 next year, along with its Architecture IQ benchmark.
