Databricks acquires Responsive to accelerate Lakebase and Neon development

Databricks has acquired Responsive, the company behind the Responsive team, to accelerate development of Lakebase and Neon.

Responsive founder Apurva Gupta announced the deal, and Databricks welcomed the Responsive team in a post on X, saying it is excited to build the next phase of Lakebase together.

The reports do not include the deal terms, price, or what Responsive's products will become.
