Apek launches Dimension9, a browser Backrooms game run by an AI

Apek, a solo developer, launches Dimension9, an infinite Backrooms game playable in the browser, according to a post by Apek on X. Apek says the game supports multiplayer and proximity chat from day one.

Apek says an AI model, Opus 5.5, runs the game as a sentient system that generates new rooms, characters, and entities from a directive Apek wrote. Apek says Apek does not know what to expect inside the game.
