Google releases Gemini 4 Argon in Antigravity, Android Studio, Gemini API and Design Arena
Overview
Google for Developers announces Gemini 4 Argon, available to Google AI Ultra subscribers in the Antigravity desktop app and Antigravity CLI, and in Android Studio.
It is also available on the paid tier of the Gemini API through Google AI Studio and Android Studio.
Design Arena says Argon is now available on its platform. It cites Google DeepMind's description of the model as built for specialized coding, deeper research and complex engineering workflows. In one example Google cites, Argon agents made a video decoder 2.7× faster than an existing Rust port while keeping identical output.
