WhatsApp adds guest calling for users without accounts
Overview
Meta announces that WhatsApp now lets users invite anyone to a free, end-to-end encrypted call through a link, even if the guest has no WhatsApp account.
Guests join through a browser after the host approves them from a waiting room. Calls can be one-to-one or group calls of up to 32 people.
Only people with a WhatsApp account can create a call link. Meta says guest calls have no time limits.
