Databricks adds central admin configuration for coding agents via Unity Gateway

Databricks says admins can now configure coding agents in one place through Unity Gateway, setting default models, MCP servers, skills, Smart Routing, and spending policies.

Developers start an agent by typing ug claude or ug codex, with no setup on their side. Admins can also roll out a newer model to every agent at once.

The announcement comes from Databricks' X account, and the feature set is listed as reported by the company.
