OpenAI doubles usage limits for Pro and Business Premium plans, then restores them

OpenAI doubled usage limits for its Pro 100, Pro 200, Pro 500 and Business Premium plans, and said Pro 200 limits would not be reduced, according to a post by Vaibhav Srivastav (@reach_vb).

OpenAI later clarified that Pro 200 subscribers keep their current Work and Codex usage limits, with no cuts.

On 2026-10-29, OpenAI's Tibo (@thsottiaux) said the doubled usage limits are back in effect after user feedback. He also said OpenAI started an intense sprint to improve the app's simplicity and performance, which he will oversee, and invited users to send complaints.
