Nathan Lambert says unofficial frontier model releases are messy

Nathan Lambert says on X that releasing a frontier model through unofficial channels is messy and not easy, according to what he has heard.

He says he feels bad ranting at Gemini about an unreleased model, and adds that patience is a virtue. The post is a single social media statement and does not name the model or the channels involved.
