Gergely Orosz reports an engineer ordered to generate 30K lines of code daily

Gergely Orosz says a developer he met after The Pragmatic Engineer Unplugged has a mandate to generate 30,000 lines of code per day, and he wants to reconnect with that engineer.

Bryan Cantrill, who also spoke with the engineer, says he wishes he had asked more about the situation and invites others under similar LLM-use mandates to get in touch. The reports do not name the employer or give further details of the mandate.
