Perplexity adds Gemini 4 Argon, citing a WANDR benchmark record

Perplexity CEO Aravind Srinivas says Gemini 4 Argon, a frontier model, sets a new state-of-the-art score on the Wide-And-Deep-Research (WANDR) benchmark.

He says the model is available to all Perplexity users in both fast search and Computer (agent) modes.

A Perplexity post on X says the model is available for Pro and Max subscribers. The post does not mention all users, so the two reports differ on who can access the model.

Neither report gives a WANDR score or results for competing models, so the record claim rests on Srinivas's statement alone.
