OpenAI expands dots frontier models with GPT-6 Astra and GPT-6.1 Terra

OpenAI says it is working on expanding the family of frontier models that power dots, adding GPT-6 Astra and GPT-6.1 Terra and others planned later, according to a post by Tibo (@thsottiaux) on X. Terra brings speed and a personality upgrade and will help OpenAI bring dots to more people, the post says.

Tibo, who is tied to OpenAI, says dot will choose the best model for each task and draw on different models for different parts of the work.
