Mastra releases Knowledge, a company context store for agents, now in alpha
Overview
Mastra's first Knowledge announcement, dated October 26, described a standalone service that holds company and team context, connects to Slack and Monday, and sets permissions at individual, team and org levels.
Mastra is offering early access to eight design partners on a first-come basis.
A later Mastra blog post, dated November 4, describes Knowledge differently: a shared store of documents, policies and decisions organized as pages that agents can search, read and write, with pages scoped to org, user or thread. Agents update pages through five Knowledge tools. The later post says the feature is in alpha, its API may change between releases, and it requires @mastra/core 1.82.0 or later. Importers for Notion, Confluence, Linear, Zendesk and Fireflies are planned for the next release.
The two posts do not reconcile the earlier self-hosted service with the later in-library store, and the reports do not say which is current.
