   Microsoft previews MAI-Image-2.7 editing model, ranks #3 on Arena

   AIMicrosoft's MAI-Image-2.7-Preview is now available on Arena and MAI Playground, ranking #2 on Artificial Analysis's AA-Image-Editing v2.1 benchmark. It places #3 on the Image Editing Arena, a 45-point gain over MAI-Image-2.6, and Microsoft says it ranks ahead of GPT-Image-2 on the leaderboard. MAI-Image-2.6 and MAI-Image-2.6-Flash are also now generally available in Microsoft Foundry.

   AIMicrosoft AI's MAI Image 2.7 Preview ranks #3 overall on Arena's image editing leaderboard with 1470 points, ahead of GPT-Image-2. The model gained 45 points over its predecessor, MAI-Image-2.6, which ranked #7, and improved in every category Arena tracks.

   AIArena says Microsoft's MAI-Image-2.7-Preview placed #3 overall in the Image Edit Arena with 1470 points, a 45-point gain over its predecessor MAI-Image-2.6, which ranked #7. The model also rose in six categories, including Product, Branding & Commercial Design from #8 to #3 and Text Rendering from #11 to #4.

It scores higher than its predecessor MAI-Image-2.6 on all seven editing actions measured, ranking first on four, with the largest gains in Composition & Framing (+57 Elo). The model is available now in MAI Playground for image editing only, with text-to-image coming soon.
