Three Chinese OCR models compared: MiniCPM, Xiaomi, and Unlimited by use case

Meng Shao, writing on X, compares three recently released Chinese OCR models by use case: MiniCPM-OCR-1.0, Xiaomi-OCR-0, and Unlimited-OCR-2.

Shao reports that MiniCPM-OCR-1.0 leads on throughput at 1.217 pages per second and scores 92.39 on Wild. Xiaomi-OCR-0 scores highest on Real5 at 95.24 and includes built-in key information extraction and visual question answering. Unlimited-OCR-2 targets long documents, scoring 77.06 on MarathonDocBench.

Shao recommends choosing a model by scenario rather than comparing all three on one benchmark, because each model's scores come from different test sets.
