Shenchen Kaidong's badminton robot earns Guinness record with 1,452 consecutive hits
Overview
Shenchen Kaidong's badminton robot completed 1,452 consecutive rallies with a human player on December 22, 2025, at the Hangzhou Bay joint innovation center in Shaoxing.
Guinness World Records certified the result as the record for most consecutive badminton counter hits by a mobile robot.
The company says it developed the full system in-house, holding over 100 patents. Former Boston Dynamics chief strategy officer Marc Theermann, in a post relayed by QbitAI, says the same perception, trajectory prediction and arm-base coordination could support high-speed sorting and warehouse automation. That application claim comes from Theermann and has not been tested in the reported work.
