Goldman Sachs restricts advanced AI coding tools to engineers, pulling them from most staff
AIGoldman Sachs has cut most employees off from advanced AI coding tools such as Anthropic's Claude Code and Microsoft's GitHub, leaving access only to engineers, according to Bloomberg citing internal guidelines from October. Goldman spokesperson Nick Carcaterra cited "a variety of factors including productivity and risk management," and said the experimentation phase is over.
