China releases first Fengyun satellite AI models for typhoon analysis and storm warnings
AIChina released its first extreme-weather AI models built on Fengyun satellite data at the 2026 Fengyun Satellite User Conference. The typhoon model interprets multichannel cloud imagery every 15 minutes, covers seven typhoon feature categories, and needs 27 seconds to generate its analysis.
