Figma adds Specs markdown editor and code layers to guide agents on its platform

Figma launched Specs, a Markdown editor where teams define their design language for reference by people and AI agents, and made code layers available in public beta at its first India Config event. The company also says its MCP now supports over 20 new tools, including Open Code, Dia, Grok Bot, and Sarvam, and that Payload downloads rose sixfold in 12 months.
