Sigma Bio's CTO describes organoid-plus-AI drug discovery a year after Galien nomination
AISigma Bio CTO Zhuo Zhuo says the company's SIGX1094 candidate for diffuse gastric cancer is in clinical trials, and it has received orphan drug and fast-track designations in the US. Zhuo says the company's organoid-plus-AI platform, built with XtalPi, feeds experimental efficacy and safety data back into AI molecule design. He also says China's drug regulator is validating organoids as an alternative to animal testing, and Sigma Bio is the only company among seven participating institutions.
