Apple licenses Huxe IP and hires staff from the former NotebookLM team in acqui-hire deal

Apple has the right to hire specific Huxe employees and holds a non-exclusive license to Huxe's intellectual property, according to filings in the EU Digital Markets Act transparency database published in October 2026.

The deal is an acqui-hire rather than an acquisition of Huxe, and the amount was not disclosed. Huxe, founded by three former Google NotebookLM team members, shut down on May 28, 2026.
