Google, Kaggle, and HeyGen launch a code-to-video benchmark for LLM agents

AISummary

Paige Bailey says a benchmark created with Kaggle, HeyGen, and Ivan Leong tests whether an LLM agent can generate code that a rendering engine such as HyperFrames deterministically turns into a final video.

HyperFrames says the benchmark, Code2Video Bench, was built with Google DeepMind and Kaggle to measure agentic video generation, which it distinguishes from SWE-bench-style code tasks.

📽️ Love this code-to-video benchmark that was created in collaboration with @Kaggle, @HeyGen, and @ivanleomk!

The task is straightforward: given a prompt or visual narrative, an LLM agent should be able to generate code that a rendering framework or engine (e.g., @HyperFrames_ ) can deterministically render into the final video.

if you tried hyperframes, you would know the agentic video stack is being built on code-gen but SWE-bench code v.s. code-to-video that feels alive are two different things we built the Code2Video Bench, in collab w/ Google DeepMind & @Kaggle frontier labs can finally get good at agentic video tasks
