Claude Opus 5.5 is now the default model in Claude Code and the Claude app, including Cowork, for Pro, Max, and Team plans. Anthropic is defaulting to effort medium across products, which it says is comparable to Fable 5.1 on intelligence but faster. Rate limits will go 25% further on Opus 5.5 compared to Opus 5.
