Rivian plans to let its cars run AI agents from companies like Anthropic

Rivian CEO RJ Scaringe said at TechCrunch Disrupt that its cars will eventually run AI agents made by other companies, such as Anthropic. Rivian already offers an in-car AI assistant that routes requests to local or cloud models, and it has not given a timeline for adding third-party agents. Scaringe said vehicle-level controls such as braking and steering will not be handed to an agent.
