Wu Haixu, a Tsinghua Special Scholarship winner, founds world-model startup Wuyuan Technology

Wu Haixu, first author of the GeoPT paper, has founded Wuyuan Technology, a world-model startup that has raised several rounds and reached a valuation of several hundred million US dollars, with investors including Ant Group and Meituan.

The company's first product direction is a world model with physics-modeling capabilities, which according to a source partly continues the technical approach of GeoPT. Wu, who won a Tsinghua Special Scholarship in 2022, previously worked as a postdoctoral researcher at MIT CSAIL.
