Southchip launches SC3606 driver chip for sub-1mm piezoelectric cooling fans
AISouthchip has launched the SC3606, a driver chip for piezoelectric fans, which can be under 1mm thick and run at around 30dB. The 2.3mm by 2.75mm chip accepts 2.1V to 5.5V input, outputs up to 46Vpp across 2kHz to 40kHz, and tracks resonance in real time to find the operating point. Southchip has not named any device that will use the chip.
