Ascend, MetaX, Biren and Moore Threads support StepFun's Step 5 Preview on release day
AIHuawei, MetaX, Biren and Moore Threads each announced Day-0 support for StepFun's Step 5 Preview, whose weights opened on October 15, meaning the model could be loaded and served on their hardware from release. Huawei said it lit up the first 1,024-card Atlas 950 SuperPoD liquid-cooled system that day, citing its own figures of 1 EFLOPS at FP8 and 2 EFLOPS at FP4.
