A $9M funding round sounds impressive. But what happens after the headline?
That is the more interesting question for @vangrid_io
Vangrid raised a $9M seed round backed by HashKey Capital, Animoca Brands, Borderless Capital, http://Crypto.com Capital, Gate Labs, and Mapleblock Capital.
But funding alone does not prove that a Physical AI infrastructure network will succeed.
The harder question is whether that capital can help turn an early network into infrastructure that developers can actually depend on.
The timing makes the story more interesting.
The round was announced in August 2026 after Vangrid had already been built in stealth and the network was already live.
So this is not simply capital arriving before a product exists.
There is already a system producing physical-world data, accepting bounties, and settling activity through the protocol.
For me, the real story is therefore not:
Vangrid raised $9M.
It is whether that capital helps accelerate the transition from an early live network into infrastructure for the next wave of Physical AI.
