Google DeepMind maps forest types worldwide at 10-meter resolution
AIGoogle DeepMind, Google Research, WRI and IIASA release Forest Typology (ForTy) 2020, a 10-meter global map classifying land into six forest and land-use types. The map is paired with an early time series tracking changes from 2017 to 2025, including where natural forests were replaced by plantations or farms.
