China's 2026-2030 rail plan targets 400 km/h CR450 trains and 600 km/h maglev testing

China's National Railway Administration issued a 2026-2030 railway science and technology plan on October 12 that sets research priorities for 400 km/h service and the CR450 train family.

The plan calls for steady research and domestic technology validation on 600 km/h maglev, without committing to construction of a line. It also targets at least 100 major research projects and 100 key technologies by 2030.
