China will roll out a national plan to boost employment and workforce skills in response to AI development, according to the State Council Information Office.
The plan aims to create jobs through AI-driven innovation, encourage AI adoption in traditional industries, and help workers build AI skills. This will be part of China's next five-year-plan.
Unlike the US, China seems to be focusing heavily on practical applications rather than fear about AI job losses.
