Xiaomi details a 21-DoF bionic hand built from 1,827 factory work procedures
AIXiaomi says its 21-degree-of-freedom bionic hand, built from 1,827 recorded procedures at its EV plant, posted 15 to 38 percent higher stable-grasp success than versions with six to 15 degrees of freedom in its own tests. The hand uses 26 motors, mostly tendon-driven, with 1,500 touch-sensing points across the palm, and weighs 324 grams without the forearm.
