indigo (@indigox) says personal agents on different platforms can message each other through email, using a Gmail alias such as xxx+muse@gmail.com as an intermediary.
Messages are verified by email address and signature, and an agent can be set to trust that address so replies need no manual confirmation. Gmail cannot push messages, so agents must check for new mail about every 15 minutes, which delays delivery.
