Volvo Cars and NVIDIA expand partnership on safe automated driving

Volvo Cars says it is expanding its partnership with NVIDIA to bring automated driving technology to future Volvo cars, with the technology debuting in a next-generation Volvo car.

The system uses NVIDIA's Hyperion sensor and compute architecture, Halos OS and Alpamayo Stack driving software, alongside Volvo's vehicle safety systems. The companies plan a gradual introduction of eyes-off and mind-off driving.
