A Google TPU lead design engineer says the company has an internal model stronger than Gemini and that it now handles most TPU chip design work more efficiently than humans. The post's author, meng shao, adds that AI could likely design 3D printers, UV printers, and laser engravers if given clear targets such as materials, use, price range, and factory location.

在前司做桌面智能设备时，也正赶上 AI 发展起来的初期，当时我也在想，能不能完全让 AI 来设计 3D 打印机，或者 UV 打印、激光雕刻机之类的，按现在的 AI 能力来看，我的答案是：肯定可以。
只要把目标定义好：用来切割/雕刻/打印什么材料、主要用途、人群特征、价格范围、工厂地域等等，甚至让 AI 把软硬件结合部分都设计好，顺便把软件也自己搞定。
只是因为被前司辞退，也没机会实现这个想法了，很期待行业内有没有哪个团队真的用 AI 把它 Vibe 出来！
I met a lead design engineer working on Google’s TPUs. He told me that AI has already taken over most of their design work and does it more efficiently than humans.
