Chery says Chinese families' next vehicle is a motorcycle
AIChery executive Tu Xiaoyue says Chinese families' next vehicle purchase will be a motorcycle, as Chery's two-wheeler unit Lingwei Technology made its first formal media appearance at the 2026 Chery Global Innovation Conference on October 19. Lingwei targets the premium leisure segment, which Tu estimates at about 30 million vehicles globally, and showed the SOLO X5 electric scooter and the GROW C3 range-extended cruiser.
