Waymo expands overseas, but remains a niche cash-burning business for Alphabet
AIAlphabet's Other Bets segment, which includes Waymo, generated $372 million in third-quarter revenue, up 8% from a year earlier and 0.3% of total sales, while its operating loss widened to $2.05 billion from $1.43 billion. Waymo plans robotaxi rides in Germany in 2027 and has planned expansions into Canada, Singapore and Spain.
