ByteDance founder Zhang Yiming tops China rich list with US$99.7 billion
AIZhang Yiming, founder of ByteDance, has regained the title of China's richest person with a US$99.7 billion fortune, up 43 per cent, according to the Hurun Research Institute. The 28th Hurun China Rich List, released Tuesday, counts 1,529 individuals worth at least 5 billion yuan (US$750 million) as of September 1, up 6.6 per cent from last year and above the previous peak of 1,460 set in 2021.
