Anthropic asks D.C. court to rehear appeal of Pentagon blacklisting

Anthropic has asked a federal court in Washington, D.C. to rehear its appeal of the Pentagon's supply chain risk designation. The Defense Department applied the label in March after negotiations over military use of Claude broke down.

A divided panel upheld the designation in September, and Anthropic's filing argues the decision ignored evidence of retaliation for its AI safety statements.
