Bill Gates says tax rules could speed AI-driven white-collar job replacement

AIBill Gates says AI will make replacing white-collar labor very cheap once systems are properly set up and improve further, across law, business consulting, and every other area of the economy. He argues that taxing labor while generously deducting capital spending on robots or AI tokens will accelerate these replacement efforts.

Tax rules charge companies more to hire a person than to buy AI, so they push businesses to replace people faster with robots or AI tokens.

"The AI, once it's properly set up, and as we get these much, much better versions, it is very cheap to replace the white collar labor. And its not just law, or business consulting, it's every area of the economy.

And so the taxation policies that we have, and the fact that we make labor is where you put the tax burden, and we're really generous on the capital spending to say buy the robots or buy the tokens, that is going to accelerate these replacement efforts. "
