Thariq says being technical means working in the details of code

AISummary

Thariq, who works at Anthropic, says the advice to "be technical" is too vague. Technical people need to go deeper into the right parts of the code, while non-technical people need to understand how things work at the right level.

I used to tell people it's good to "be technical" but I think this is not accurate enough.

If you're technical you need to be in the details more with the right parts of the code.

If you're non-technical, being in the details means knowing how things work at the right level.
